Sandra
Vanreys
Over the past twenty-five years, Sandra Vanreys has experienced incredible
growth both personally and professionally.
Along the way, she was awarded the title "Best Female Country Singer of the
Year"
8 times in the Netherlands alone. She has performed many times at all
kinds of events from festivals to the big concert stages both nationally and
internationally.
Not
only was
Sandra invited to make a tour through the United States of America,
but she
was also invited to appear on a television show called "Nashville Now"
which
was broadcast live to over 42 million viewers nationwide!
In
the year 2000 she was called out to be the Millennium Country Singer of the
Netherlands and in the east
of Holland there is a train named after her.
The "Sandra Vanreys Train"
still makes daily trips, and already has more than
1,000,000 kilometers on
the clock.

Tours
Besides
the performances in America, Sandra has also been invited to perform in
the United Kingdom, Denmark,
Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Belgium and Canada.
Sandra has also had the distinct honour and pleasure to share the stage with
well-known artists such as Boxcar Willy, Melba Montgommery, Max D. Barnes, Joe
Sun, Roy Acuff, South Mountain and many many others.
In 1989 Sandra was asked to represent the Netherlands at the Euro Country
Masters Festival. Fourteen countries took part in this festival. Sandra won a
first place with her own composition "The night closes (on our sweet love)".
After winning she was asked to compose more material for other artists, as well
as composing for herself.
A Dutch writers Association,
called 'Conamus' and the Dutch Country Music Association (DCMA) asked Sandra
together with three others songwriters, to go on a trip to Canada to promote the
material they had written themselves. For twelve days she travelled around to
placed like Hamilton City, Ontario, Burlington and others. Meanwhile this Dutch
delegation was invited to be guest of honour at the 10th Canadian Country Music
Award Gala in Hamilton City! A fantastic honour and unforgettable experience !

Albums
In 1993
Sandra recorded her first solo album called "Heartstrings", after having spent
some time working on different recording projects for Warner Brothers, EMI and
Dino Music, amongst others.After
the birth of her two children, Sandra came back to the music business. She made
a new country album called
Country Feelings - from me to you -
a pure country album on which she also wrote 7 of
the songs herself.
She has been seen all over the country performing for audiences everywhere, and
has also worked on the theater show
Country Roads.
In the summer of 2004 her third country album called "Let
Go"
came out with, once again, many self-composed titles as well as songs
from other well known artists such as Steven McCLintock,
amongst others.
Guatemala
In 2004 Sandra was asked by the Dutch
Embassy to perform during the "Holland Promotion Week" in Guatemala. Together
with the Guatemalan group
"Amnessia", Sandra took over the
central market square of Guatemala City and performed not only many of her
english language repertoire, but also performed some
songs in Spanish, to the great pleasure of the many local visitors. It was
certainly an experience not to be forgotten by the Guatemalans or by Sandra!
Successful
In between the busy
schedule of live performances, Sandra has also been seen presenting various
music programs for a local
television company. She is also bringing out a new single
CD, together with a music video for the new song.Sandra
continues to maintain her own personal standards, values, vitality and
commitment to excellence. She has expanded her artistic boundaries with each new
project. Wherever she performs she does this with unlimited joy and enthusiasm.
With a fabulous voice and capacity to win
all kinds of audiences for
her: she is an esteemed guest at country happenings, festivals and shows.
Bookings for live performances in,Spain in
2009 are also in the planning.
